Shiraz Restaurant...Authentic Persian Cuisine
Just returned from an indulgent trip to Manchester where my friends and I treated ourselves to a wide variety of Persian food at Shiraz restaurant located south of Manchester.
The food was absolutely delicious and authentic which is what I had missed for nearly a year. The first evening started with a simple appetizer of 'Mirza Ghasemi' (grilled aubergines casserole mixed with garlic) and followed with 'Fesenjoon' (Stew with Walnuts and Pomegranates) as the main course. Having a minted jug of yogurt drink and a traditional saffron Ice-cream as dessert complemented the whole Persian package.
Although the food was brilliant and the service was excellent,it seemed quite overpriced on the bill !
